④ co-developed with a long-established iron manufacturer
⑤ sophisticated, all-black design
⑥ clubs that require no fitting or demo session

many irons on the market today focus primarily on distance. however, what an iron truly needs to deliver is the ability to control and differentiate distance with precision.

by being able to accurately control distances in the critical 120–180 yard range, golfers can dramatically improve their scores.

NOOG was created to bring golfers to this essential skill—precise distance control—in the shortest possible time. to achieve this, we redefined conventional iron design and developed one-length irons, engineered specifically to help golfers master consistent and accurate distance control.

1.One Length Irons

全番手同じ長さ、同じ重さのワンレングスアイアン

same length and weight for a more stable address

traditionally, irons vary in length by club. NOOG offers all irons at the same length and weight using a one-length design, unified to the length of the 8-iron .

with one-length irons, there is no need to change your address for each club. once you master the address with one club, simply changing clubs allows you to control distance more consistently.

differences in loft create differences in distance

in one-length irons, differences in distance are created by differences in loft angle. even though the length and weight are the same, each clubhead has a different angle, allowing distance gaps to be created through loft variation.

craftsmen at a club manufacturer with over 60 years of iron-making experience have carefully optimized the loft balance for each club .

the shaft length is unified to that of the 8-iron. for irons higher than the 8-iron, the shaft is longer than usual, which can increase centrifugal force and cause shots to fly too far. therefore, to create proper distance gaps between each club , the loft angles of irons above the 8-iron were increased and finely adjusted to achieve optimal balance .

on the other hand, for lower-numbered irons (4–7 irons), the loft becomes smaller and more upright. we heard concerns that opening the loft angle too much changes the appearance at address and makes the club harder to hit . based on this feedback, for irons lower than the 7-iron, we suppressed excessive loft opening while still successfully creating proper distance gaps between each club.

the one-swing theory: one swing for every club

NOOG one-length irons are the same length and weight across all clubs, allowing every club to be played with
・the same swing
・the same address
・the same ball position
.

as a result, there is no need to change your swing for each club, improving repeatability and overall shot consistency.

with conventional irons, each club has a different length and weight, requiring players to adjust four variables every time: address, swing, ball position, and lie.

with one-length irons, address, swing, and ball position can be unified, allowing players to focus only on lie, which leads to more stable shots.

in other words, by applying the one-swing theory, what once required managing four variables is reduced to managing just one.

the one-swing theory explained: making irons easier

mid irons you struggled with become enjoyable

with NOOG one-length irons, your address remains the same and distance can be adjusted simply by changing clubs, making it easier to stabilize distance control with mid irons that are typically difficult to manage, such as the 5 to 7 irons . the more your body adapts, the more enjoyable mid irons become, even for players who previously struggled with them.

this eliminates anxiety on second shots and leads to more consistent score improvement.

one club, the practice of five

because your address remains the same even when changing clubs, once you master a single club, you can hit every club consistently. practice can also be done with just one club, making training far more efficient .

during a round, the unified length also makes it easier to adjust your swing and find your rhythm.

2. forged from soft carbon steel

軟鉄鍛造

what is forged soft carbon steel?

soft carbon steel refers to iron with very low levels of impurities such as carbon and nickel, making it softer than other iron materials commonly used in irons, including stainless steel.

forging is a manufacturing process in which metal is shaped by applying pressure through repeated hammering. this increases material density and removes impurities, resulting in a solid, soft feel at impact with minimal unwanted vibration from the clubhead .

because the feel differs clearly between center strikes and off-center hits, it allows golfers to run an effective PDCA cycle during practice. with forged irons, pure strikes feel exceptionally good, while mishits are immediately recognizable.

tune your clubs to match changes in your body

because the material itself is soft, the hosel can be bent for adjustment.

forged soft carbon steel irons allow lie angle and loft angle adjustments even after purchase, making it possible to tune the clubs as your body changes with age.

professionals favor forged irons

compared to cast irons, which tend to produce similar distance even on mishits, forged irons allow golfers to develop a true sense of feel. for those who are serious about improving their game, forged irons are the recommended choice.

3. carbon shafts

カーボンシャフト

carbon shafts for irons

carbon shafts are used for the irons. compared to steel shafts, carbon shafts are lighter in weight and offer greater flex .

as the optimal balance between head and shaft, the flex is unified at SR (stiff regular).

lightweight yet strong for greater stability

because carbon shafts are lighter and offer more flex than steel shafts, they are easier to handle even for players with less power. this is a deliberate choice made by NOOG—built not for maximum distance, but for control . even as fatigue builds later in the round, your swing is less likely to change, helping prevent score drops on the back nine.

half the weight, reducing the impact of fatigue

steel shafts typically weigh around 100 grams, while NOOG’s carbon shafts weigh just 55 grams— approximately half the weight of steel shafts . reducing the impact of fatigue and supporting stable play even late in the round .

absolute grip strength that enhances repeatability

the grip features the G-REX by STM, developed over three years and protected by patented technology.

its unique mesh structure consists of 9,568 carbon embossments precisely arranged at 0.01 mm intervals, reducing slippage even in rain or sweat.

by preventing unnecessary tension during the swing, it maximizes NOOG’s pursuit of swing repeatability and control performance .

4. co-developed with a long-established iron manufacturer

共栄ゴルフ

co-developed with kyoei golf industry co., ltd., a long-established Japanese golf club manufacturer

NOOG irons were co-developed with kyoei golf industry, a club manufacturer with over 60 years of history located in ichikawa town, hyogo prefecture—the birthplace of japanese golf iron manufacturing .

kyoei golf has produced clubs for numerous well-known golf brands, delivering high-quality craftsmanship through hand-forged processes including forging, polishing, and plating by skilled artisans.

with a particular strength in iron production, kyoei golf has a long track record of working with challenging soft carbon steel forging, including research and development of one-length irons .

5. a sophisticated design unified in black

a refined, all-black aesthetic

the clubhead features a refined matte black finish with a solid, understated presence . from the shaft to the grip, the entire club is unified in all black, creating a sophisticated aesthetic .

we turned a common drawback of black clubs—paint gradually wearing over time—into a feature by embedding a smoked copper plating beneath the finish, allowing you to enjoy how the matte black naturally evolves into an elegant copper tone through aging .

the pace of this aging is refined by subtly adjusting durability based on test results and customer feedback, bringing it closer to the ideal finish.

NOOG sees aging as something positive. a tool that lets you feel the years you’ve spent together can be used for a long time as your one-and-only partner .

(the rate of aging varies depending on frequency of use and playing conditions.)

6. clubs that require no fitting or demo session

NOOG's one-length irons are not sold in physical retail stores and are available exclusively online.

many golfers assume a demo session is essential when buying clubs, but most people end up choosing clubs based on how their body feels at that moment during the demo . in real play, however, the body’s condition often changes from the demo day, and the feel can end up being different than expected.

NOOG believes the club’s benefits are maximized when you synchronize yourself to the club. instead of choosing clubs to match your body, you train your body to match the club.

by removing the need for demos, we can operate online-only, cut unnecessary middle margins, and offer high-quality clubs at a fair price. noog aims to redefine the conventional way people choose golf clubs.

【customer testimonials】

"everything is unified in black—from the shaft to the grip—and it looks incredibly cool. this is exactly the kind of iron design i’ve been looking for."

"i used to struggle with inconsistent distances from off-center strikes, but with NOOG’s one-length irons i’m missing the center less and it’s become much easier to control and separate distances."

and we’ve received many more encouraging messages like these.
